A day out in Mandurah

Reed and I were very lucky to be invited to a day out in Mandurah over the school holidays. Mandurah Cruises have daily Dolphin and Scenic Marine cruises and we thought it would be the perfect school holidays activity.

We invited our friends to join us and started the afternoon in Mandurah at Sharky’s for lunch. I ordered the traditional fish and chips and the serving was certainly enough to share between two people.

After a delicious lunch the kids had a play in the playground. It’s perfect for families that want to enjoy a meal with their kids.

After lunch we were ready for the cruise. The boys were excited at the prospect of spotting dolphins.

The cruise is guided at all times, with the captain chatting to the passengers on board about the local sights. It was the most perfect weather to be on the water last Saturday. A perfect July winter day in Mandurah.

During the cruise the boat stopped twice to pull up crab pots and crayfish pots respectively. It was a great lesson on responsible and sustainable fishing.

I highly recommend taking the whole family on a Mandurah Cruise. It’s a fun day out for the whole family.
